More about Treats:

PURPOSE: Treats is a training app that is made for iPhone and Apple Watch, with the purpose of being simple, efficient and based on a holistic training method. Its data-driven and measures progress, its goal-oriented and individual. Its also rewarding, fun and inspiring. Above all, the purpose is to provide continuity in your training and well-being, thereby supporting and building long-term health. Unlike many other training and health apps, Treats achieves its mission by being easy to use with minimum input.

METHOD: Good health is based on Training, Eating and Sleeping (TREATS). That’s what Treats track every day. You set your own goals. It is a simple, yet powerful method.

TRAINING DAYS: If you do any training activity for at least 30 minutes during a day, you can count this day as a Training Day. (Think of an intense activity that requires a shower afterwards). How many TrainingDays is your goal per week?

EATING: When you are training actively, it is important to eat right. For example, to eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, and a snack after working out. Make your own definition of eating right. How many days per week do you want to eat right?

SLEEPING: When you are training actively, it is important to get some rest to let your body recharge. For example, a goal can be to sleep for at least 6-8 hours per day. We all need different sleep, so make your own definition of sleeping well. How many days per week do you want to get a good sleep?

The app will also give you training tips, for example:

TRAINING TIP 1: Remember that it’s good to do different activities to get a balanced training mix. For example, if your goal is to have 5 TrainingDays, maybe two are running (cardio training), two are at the gym (building strength) and one is yoga (for mindfulness and stretching). Fin your own mix!

TRAINING TIP 2: If you have decided on a number of TrainingDays each week, it’s useful to put them in the calendar before the week starts. That will increase the likelihood that the activities get done and you reach your goals.

TRAINING TIP 3: Set up a fun competition among your friends, and give yourself a reward (a treat) when you have reached five PowerWeeks in a row.
